The first album recorded in Jamaica for Stones. The recording was done at Dynamic Sound Studios where the original "Cherry Oh Baby" by Eric Donaldson was recorded. This album doesn't have Jamaican or reggae taste, though Bob Marley debut worldwide in this year. It became the last album for Jimmy Miller, the producer since "Beggar's Banquet". "Silver Train" written by Jagger/Richards was presented to Johnny Winter who recorded it before Stones. The photo of red soup with goat head expressed its title "Goats Head Soup" was by John Pasche who created many great tour promo posters for Stones. |
